At this time I would like to introduce myself.  My name is Dusty Taylor; I am in High School at Jefferson High School in Jefferson, Oregon, an active member of National Rifle Association (NRA), Oregon State Shooting Association (OSSA), Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP), Future Farmers of America (FFA), and active participant of Relay For Life.  I am also working on becoming an NRA Certified Junior Coach in September 2014.

I have currently participated in local, state, national and international shooting competitions. Acquiring State of Oregon, National and International Championships; shooting Air Rifle Sporter, Air Rifle Precision,  Small-Bore (.22 Caliber), Hi-Power (AR15) and Long  Range (.308 Palma Rifle).  See attached shooting resume. 

 

My home range Albany Rifle and Pistol Club is currently in the process of building a 300, 600 and 1000 yard range, but until then I need to travel extensively to a range to practice mid and long range distances.  But I am lacking the financial ability to keep traveling the long distances for practice, shooting competitions and other expenses.  So I am reaching out to the community for sponsorships and or donations. With the great increase of travel expenses (gas, lodging, food, vehicle maintenance, insurance), entry fees, ammunition, shooting equipment, and needing to purchase an electronic practice target. 

 

My goal is to raise enough funds, so that I can continue to shoot and practice to represent my local community, state and county in a sport that has become such a vital part of my life.  I know that a lot of shooters tend to take a break during their late teens, twenties and part of their thirties; I have no intentions or plans to do that.  I have been setting goals for myself and making plans to continue to be a competitive shooter and being involved in the shooting community.  Currently my goal is to raise enough funds via donations/working to continue moving forward with my shooting. 

 

I am at home on the shooting range and would rather spend my time doing that when not in school, then anything else.  My family is very supportive; especially my Mom and Dad.  I call Oregon and Alaska both my homes.  I have made the US Palma U25 Developmental Team.  This is Olympic caliber shooting, using a .308 Palma Rifle; shooting from 800 to 1000 yards, using an iron sight.  I will also be traveling across the US to various High Power Matches (using a Service Rifle AR15).   I would like to return to the Western CMP Games & Creedmoor Cup Matches this year and improve.   Also, have extensive traveling to do to prepare for the 2015 World Long Range Championships.
