Hi everyone. For those who know me you will be well aware of my love for animals and for those who know me well will also know of my dislike for exercise! But I am throwing caution to the wind and I have entered into The Great British London 10K run

I want to raise money for my friends animal sanctury in Spain. They do such amazing work taking care of abandoned and sick animals with no help from the government. Every penny they earn goes back into the sanctuary and they rely heavily on donations. You can read a little about them below. But I wanted to do something more, I don't have the courage to change my life and take care of animals full time, yet I cry over every news story about an animal being abused and every facebook picture of an older animal being abandoned. I decided the one thing I could do was to move my body rather than just moving myself to tears. I want to try and raise £1000 at least for the sanctuary and with your help I can do it. I have never run in a race before, I don't even run for the bus! This is why I chose this as an activity, it's going to be a challenge and your generous sponsership will help to give me the courage I need to get off the couch, train and run that race. Every penny you donate will go directly to the sanctuary and you will make an immediate inpact on the lives of these animals. There is no RSPCA in Spain, these beautiful creatures rely on the kindness of people like Claire and Chris. PLEASE PLEASE HELP TOO. I (Claire) have a terminal lung disease and my husband (Chris) has cancer...yay! We have two grown up children who work with us, we have dedicated the last 10 years to sick, injured, old & mutilated cats & dogs offering them sanctuary on our farm in Andalucia. Can you help us? We have committed ourselves to these animals and need to raise money to make sure they are ok when we have gone, Chris and I have 3 to 5 years left to live and need to know our promises to these animals and their dead owners are fulfilled. Here in Spain there is no rspca, nowhere to take an injured or sick animal. You take it home or leave it to die. All the cats & dog we have given a home to are sick or with one eye, one leg, very, very old. An old dog of a dead owner that no one wants. No one wants to adopt a blind 12 year old wolfhound or broken dog so we take them to live with us. We really are for the underdog to have a forever home on our farm. We have worked hard to support our sanctuary animals by running courses and kennels but our illnesses are slowing us down and we need your help to help them. Claire & Chris

Tenemos dos crecido los niños que trabajan con nosotros, nos hemos dedicado los últimos 10 años a los gatos enfermos, heridos, viejos & mutilados & perros ofreciéndoles Santuario en nuestra granja en Andalucía. ¿Puede ayudarnos? Han comprometido con estos animales y necesita recaudar dinero para asegurarse de que están bien cuando hemos ido, Chris y yo tenemos 3 a 5 años para vivir y necesitamos saber nuestras promesas a estos animales y sus propietarios muertos se han cumplido. Aquí en España no hay rota, ni para llevar a un animal herido o enfermo. Llévatelo a casa o dejarlo morir. Todos los gatos & perro que le hemos dado un hogar al que están enfermo o con un ojo, una pierna, muy, muy viejo. Un viejo perro del dueño de un muerto que nadie quiere. Nadie quiere adoptar a un ciego wolfhound 12 año de edad o un perro roto para llevarlos a vivir con nosotros. Estamos a los desamparados a tener un hogar para siempre en nuestra granja. Hemos trabajado duro para apoyar nuestros animales Santuario mediante la ejecución de cursos y perreras pero nuestras enfermedades están ralentizando nosotros y necesitamos tu ayuda para ayudarles.
