We need your financial support to pay our writers and bring the truth that the failing media ignores!
Brenner Brief News launched Thursday with a writing team of nearly 60 people, a dozen of whom are also in leadership roles in the news organization.
Covering U.S. and world news, politics, lifestyle, entertainment, money and business, bistro and wine, and more, anyone can enjoy visiting BBN’s digital magazine on a regular basis. BBN will be combating media distortions in the 2014 elections and in politics in general, especially focusing at the national level while also including state and even local news that is of interest to the country as a whole.
“By the people, for the people” represents the organization’s bringing together citizen and professional journalists from all over the world to one platform. Bringing capitalism to citizen journalism by paying the writers, BBN contributors are motivated to bring the truth to all of the readers and addressing stories that the failing legacy media groups refuse to cover.
The founder and editor-in-chief, Sara Marie Brenner, released a statement Wednesday explaining why she created BBN:
There are so many excellent journalists in this nation, citizens and professionals alike, who have a real passion for uncovering and disclosing the truth about what is happening in this country. Many of them simply lack a platform that can carry their message. Brenner Brief News is a place where citizen journalists and watchdogs, professional writers and columnists can join together to deliver the truth. I am very excited with the team we have assembled.
Within the next few days, BBN will also be implementing revenue systems in order to pay the writers. Brenner continued:
We support liberty, freedom, smaller government, the Constitution, and something that has become an evil word in recent years: capitalism. At Brenner Brief News, we are bringing capitalism to citizen journalism and paying our writers and editors. We’re not a blog; we are operating as a news organization, but with independent, freelance contributors who are responsible for their own content, with the flexibility to find their own stories. But, there is a leadership team in place to help make sure each person’s story is posted and promoted.
The leadership team launching the site includes editor-in-chief Sara Marie Brenner and assistant editors Kevin Boyd, Jai Bravo, Janna Brock, Walter Coffey, Robert Crafts, Fred DeRuvo, Larry Lease, P-G Matuszak, Elizabeth Schomburg, Paul Sutliff and John Sutton. Brenner added:
In the near future, we plan to add fact sheets on various topics of importance in today’s culture and political environment. Activists involved in rapid response on social media and elsewhere will be able to use these sheets to have information at their fingertips. We have many ideas and plans, and look forward to growing the organization, our reach and our impact.
Readers who support BBN may assist by sharing BBN’s stories on social media, reposting portions of BBN’s articles on other platforms, or making a monetary donation to be shared with the writers.
