-Leiloni- is My Little Girl, My Heart, My Best Friend and My Beautiful Australian Sheppard.

Leiloni is a 1 yr. old Aussie / Blue Healer whom I rescued from GA in December 2012.

On Friday, November 1st, 2013, Leiloni had a horrible accident. At 7:30 AM she and I were driving home from the laundry mat. She is a typical dog and loves to stick her head out the window and have her ears flapping in the window. It always makes her so excited and has a big smile on her face.

I was driving down Wilmot road doing about 50 MPH and she was sitting in the back seat. I have child guard windows in the back so they don’t go all the way down. She must have leaned to far and fell out the window! I didn’t see this happen but when I looked back I noticed she was missing. Sometimes she would just in the far back trunk area of my SUV. I quickly pulled over and opened the back hatch only to see she was not there. I looked back not even 2 minutes before, and she was in the back seat.

I quickly got into my car and started heading back down the road. About a quarter of a mile down the road I found her sitting on the side of the road! She was noticeably hurt, it was so sad. I started crying and ran and picked her up and put her into the car.

Leiloni was scared, a few scraps, broken nail and a broker leg and maybe more at that point I was not sure. I brought her into the vet and they took x-rays of her. She has a severe fracture; they were not sure how it didn’t come out of the skip. She also tore her ACL.

Surgery and rehabilitation is the only option, and I can’t wait any longer to do it. It will put her in more pain and jeopardize her recovery.

I simply cannot afford it. I have looked into other options such as care credit, vet. Schools etc. and time is of the essence.

It’s been a rough year for me and I need this for her. My dogs always come first, as would your child. I don’t have children, my dogs are my children.
