Dear Friends and Family; I hope that God is ever present in your life and that you feel his Glory daily. I know that God is ever present in my life and I feel his will driving me to His Glory. I feel passionate and strongly about seeing youth involved in missions. Last year as part of leading and mentoring the seniors at Maranatha Christian School we took three days and went to a Habitat for Humanity building site to help lay the foundation for new homes. It was amazing to see God work through these students as they were pushed beyond their physical comfort zone and had to rely on God to give them the strength to finish. Since coming to Maranatha I have wanted to see a vision spread of High School Students Glorifying God in the Performing Arts and in Missions. This year I have been given the opportunity to see High School students step out in faith into the missions’ field. In February I will be helping to lead 14 students to Costa Rica to serve missionaries there. We will be learning some pantomimes to do street evangelism, using silent storytelling to convey the truth of God. We will also be seeking to serve a specific Missionary family in their work with a local church and around the town of Tamarindo. This is a new endeavor for us as a school and we are busy preparing for our time there. My hope is that you would be willing to pray for me and my team as we seek a new chapter in our ministry at Maranatha. I know that leaving my family, Sara my wife and my two children, Rian and Corin will be very difficult. Even for such a small time as a week I know that my heart will stray to thoughts of home and my family. My prayers have been for strength and guidance in meeting the spiritual needs of missionaries and students. Join me in this prayer that not only will we as a team meet the needs of the missionaries and the people they serve, but that the students will have a spark lit in their hearts for lifelong service to the glory of God. While this cost is a burden on our family it is with faith that we move forward. God has proven faithful in the past and I will continue to pray for his providence in this endeavor.
