A microphone for a Dream

Hello, my name is R Velásquez (Erre in spanish), I'm a self produced musical artist from Venezuela and I have been working on an album for almost 2 years.

I have been creating music for almost 5 years in total, before in spanish and for a while I have been making music in english.

This project is new, I decided to keep my identity hidden for the moment to see if it's possible for me to succeed because of my art.

Through the process of making this album I have learned so much about music production, mixing and interpretation.

I achieved a decent level in music mixing, and I would like to buy a microphone that matches the quality of the rest of my project.

Currently I have a Rode NT-1A (for those that don't make music, it is a decent entry level microphone) and I aim to buy a used Neumann M-147 which is close to 3.500$ at 2.950$.

I know it is a big leap, I believe it can help my project succeed as my voice will sound in higher quality and require less processing.

This project genre is melodic rap/rnb/pop, If you like atmospheric, cinematic music, you will probably like this album.

I set the goal to 5000$ because I will be charged various rates and taxes to be able to use the money through PayPal in Venezuela, also I will have to travel across the country to test the microphone and bring it home.

I believe some of the money might remain after the buy, and if it does and if it's enough, I will also buy a new pair of headphones for mixing.

The album is called I Can Love Again (I like to call it ICLA), the project is still in the mixing stage of the beats, and I am setting this up to have the microphone by the time I end mixing them, so I can start recording as soon as possible.

Currently I live with my parents, and I record my music in my closet.
