I did not believe in church or in having a relationship
with God, but the woman who is now my wife brought me closer to faith
and gave me the opportunity to know Christ. It has been a
life-changing experience, one that is real and transformative.
By God's mercy, four years ago I got married. After 28 years of life, I experienced for the first time a deep sense of joy and fulfillment that truly filled my heart. God's love entered my life through my wife. One year after our wedding, our daughter Emily was born. She is a wonderful little girl who showed me that true love really exists—a pure and genuine love. Her eyes reflect a love unlike anything I had ever known. She is now two years and seven months old, just beginning to speak, and one of the words she says most often is "Daddy."
About three months ago, I made a terrible mistake. I became involved with another woman at work and was unfaithful to my wife. It is something I am not proud of as a child of God. When my wife discovered what had happened, it broke her heart and deeply wounded her soul.
At that time, I felt overwhelmed by guilt, shame, and the financial burdens I had brought upon my family. I even considered taking my own life. Without my wife, without my daughter, and facing the debts I had accumulated while living apart from my home, I felt hopeless.
Yet God, in His infinite mercy, literally saved my life. He forgave me when I did not deserve it and gave me another chance. My wife is still healing from the pain I caused, and there are many wounds that remain. Every day I am praying and working hard for God to restore our marriage.
One of the moments that impacts me the most is when I go to pick up my daughter from kindergarten. When she sees me, she runs toward me with her arms wide open, shouting, "Daddy!" The first time it happened after everything that had taken place, it broke my heart. Tears came to my eyes. I am not someone who usually cries, but in that moment I could not hold them back.
The love I have for my wife and daughter motivates me every day to pursue restoration and become the husband and father they deserve. In Christ there is new life. Even when everything looks like a desert, there is still hope. In Christ Jesus there is light.
One of the most difficult consequences of my mistakes was bringing financial debt into our home. For that reason, I humbly turn to this platform. I pray that God may allow me to raise US$10,000 to cover these expenses and bring peace of mind back to my wife and family as we continue rebuilding our lives together.
