My name is Shelly, and I never thought I would find myself asking for help like this, but my family is facing an incredibly difficult season.

My mother was diagnosed with vascular dementia, and a few months ago she suffered a devastating fall that fractured the C2 vertebrae in her neck. She had to wear a neck brace for 13 weeks, and during that time she experienced additional falls. Her condition has continued to decline, and she is now receiving hospice care in our home.

As her primary caregiver, I am doing everything I can to care for her while also trying to keep our household afloat. Last week, my mother suffered a mini stroke that has now left her bedridden, requiring even more around-the-clock care.

I work remotely in the telecommunications industry, but recent project funding delays have caused a major slowdown in available work and income. While I am actively searching for additional remote opportunities, the reduced workload has left me struggling to cover our most basic expenses.

At this time, I am asking for help to cover:
• Mortgage payments
• Utilities
• Groceries and household necessities
• Basic living expenses while I continue caring for my mother
