Dear friends and for those who don't already know me, I am a single disabled woman living in a situation that is negatively impacting my health currently, due to being stuck living in a trailer that is not functioning up to par And is too old to take to almost all conventional trailer parks with traditional, proper hook ups, power, water, septic and other important amenities. I need to have a trailer over year 2000 for that, Plus, it would most likely be a better trailer functioning wise overall. I wasn’t aware of this fact, when I naïvely made the purchase I did. I would give anything to have gone back in time done it right but it’s too late now.
I'm reaching out for your help to finance that, as I am struggling on a meager disability check and don't have the kind of extra cash I need for this. Your help is so greatly needed and appreciated at this time; no donation is too small, and I would like to add that I give back in any way that I can whether that be by free music downloads, poetry ebooks or anything else of mine which a donors may like. (In fact, I chose to use this platform because GoFundMe recently created a rule that now bans folks from mentioning a reward and/or giving back, and I'm not okay with that.)
Please do consider giving if you can and/or sharing this fundraiser with your circles. I also recommend messaging it just because visibility via wall posting can be iffy (when I message it I always say something like "I'm sorry to bother you with messaging this but unfortunately I'm having to do so because visibility is affected with just wall posting)
My name is Scarlit-Rose “Rosie” Ashcraft. I’m a proud mom of two amazing teen boys (and fur babies), an award-winning pop music artist, and a passionate advocate for neurodivergent, chronic illness and rare disease communities. I also happen to live with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a complex connective tissue disorder that makes everyday tasks a constant uphill battle. Yet, despite the challenges, I have poured my heart into my art, my writing/blogging/vlogging, poetry and advocating for others—especially those with chronic illnesses or hidden disabilities. After years of fighting for proper medical recognition and care (while also navigating personal trauma and discrimination), I finally found my voice and celebrated by releasing my independent pop album, Dreamer Queen Not Under the Machine, which won “Best Pop Album 2024” from the Rampage Music Awards.

But my journey hasn’t stopped there. My passion is to inspire
and uplift others through music, videos, blogs, and future
books—because I truly believe in the power of hope and resilience.
However at the current time I am in great need of help to get on
my feet and so I am reaching out
Last summer I made a gutsy move by deciding to leave my public housing situation behind after years of feeling rather trapped and down in it, as there were many problems there, and it wasn’t accessible anyway. I took out a loan and bought a fifth wheel trailer, and I managed to find a place that would accept me and my fur babies so I would no longer have to hide them and live in that uncomfortable place of worry and fear. The move was challenging and I was not whatsoever prepared for the level of problems and difficulties there would be with this particular trailer, even the septic system was unexpectedly sealed off to my dismay (I still hope to gain access to septic.) Amid that to I lost my mother after years of battling kidney failure. She passed in September 2024. Just in the in the year before, as well, I lost my best friend to a brain surgery that did not go well. In the past recent while I have endured these two major losses which has impacted me.
Over the past several months, I’ve been trying to build a peaceful, stable life out in the country— (I cannot be more specific as my landlord values his privacy.) However, without going into detail, I would have faced many painful barriers that are becoming harder and harder to bear on my mental health, and this, especially includes a Valleywide bus strike that has seemingly no end in sight which has grossly isolated me. This was some thing that I never signed up for or was prepared for of course, and it has been frustrating and infuriating, Not to mention, immensely impactful to the point that I’ve considered moving back to the Victoria region with a better trailer, but to do so I would need a newer trailer, again in order to enter a proper trailer park with conventional hook ups, As well as proper Internet access some thing I have suffered greatly without over here and has hugely impacted my ability to get ahead. I am limited to streaming on my phone and I have not been able to get any other kind of Internet line whatsoever, which has been beyond disheartening and frustrating. This would not be the case at a professional conventional place with Wi-Fi, closer to my home city, where they were actually once again via bus line (Think Langford and Goldstream etc still greater Victoria)
Unfortunately, this trailer has just proven to be far more broken-down than anticipated, needing frequent (and costly) repairs and modifications which have impacted my finances and have not yet sufficed to bring things up to par (meaning more modification needs to be done for this place to be optimal for my health and safety.)
Even more painful was a toxic relationship that I had originally hoped would work out in a team-based way; that person had told me they would be able to get things going and repaired in ways that did not pan out disappointingly, not to mention I was left hurt and drained after exposure to frequent mood swings etc (without getting too much into it because I don't want to start conflict)
Though I did put this to an end to this and am now surviving out here on my own as a single woman once again, all this drained my finances further.
My debt is currently so deep I am forced to consider a consolidation plan. I really don't get very much from disability at all and though I'm looking into ways to bring in more funds and get out of the poverty trap it's difficult to do stuck in the catch 22 I am currently in. I urgently need a boost to get things better fixed up in my living environment and thus better on top of my health.
I cannot very easily go back, as I have nothing to go back to. I must rebuild from here and your help is so very needed and appreciated .
Why I’m Asking for Help:
My health is strained due to ongoing stress, patchy living conditions .
I’m juggling small jobs and exploring new opportunities, The small record company that I’m currently with would like me to participate in more interviews and make more material and such things which are very hard to do in my position right now, so I am practically losing opportunities by the day and physical limitations from EDS make it a hard catch 22 to manage steady work without the proper environment and tools.
My talent lies in the musical realm as an award-winning artist with a voice that I would like to share more with the world as it’s matured for the better (as I am told) but I’m currently limited due to my situation, which is very frustrating and painful; making another album and creating more material, and even doing some limited touring and performing is very much on my bucket list, and what I want to do an achieve before, I may leave this earth, most predictably earlier than typical, due to my rare disease and what I’ve already been through.
I dream of getting back to my advocacy, blogging, and music production—work that can be meaningful and, ultimately, more financially sustainable—if I can just get on stable ground .
