Scarlit-Rose Ashcraft hasn't added a story.
Dear friends and for those who don't already know me, I am a single disabled woman living in a situation that is negatively impacting my health currently, due to being stuck living in a trailer that is not functioning up to par. I'm reaching out for your help to finance improvements, as I am struggling on a meager disability check and don't have the kind of extra cash I need for this. To make matters worse, as I mention below, my pipes are currently frozen over - leaving me with limited access to water. Your help is so greatly needed and appreciated at this time; no donation is too small, and I would like to add that I give back in any way that I can whether that be by free music downloads, poetry ebooks or anything else of mine which a donors may like. (In fact, I chose to use this platform because GoFundMe recently created a rule that now bans folks from mentioning a reward and/or giving back, and I'm not okay with that.)
Please do consider giving if you can and/or sharing this fundraiser with your circles. I also recommend messaging it just because visibility via wall posting can be iffy (when I message it I always say something like "I'm sorry to bother you with messaging this but unfortunately I'm having to do so because visibility is affected with just wall posting)
My name is Scarlit-Rose “Rosie” Ashcraft. I’m a proud mom of two amazing teen boys (and fur babies), an award-winning pop music artist, and a passionate advocate for neurodivergent, chronic illness and rare disease communities. I also happen to live with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a complex connective tissue disorder that makes everyday tasks a constant uphill battle. Yet, despite the challenges, I have poured my heart into my art, my writing/blogging/vlogging, poetry and advocating for others—especially those with chronic illnesses or hidden disabilities. After years of fighting for proper medical recognition and care (while also navigating personal trauma and discrimination), I finally found my voice and celebrated by releasing my independent pop album, Dreamer Queen Not Under the Machine, which won “Best Pop Album 2024” from the Rampage Music Awards.
- But my journey hasn’t stopped there. My passion is to inspire and uplift others through music, videos, blogs, and future books—because I truly believe in the power of hope and resilience. However at the current time I am in great need of help to get on my feet and so I am reaching out
Last summer I made a gutsy move by deciding to leave my public housing situation behind after years of feeling rather trapped and down in it. I took out a loan and bought a fifth wheel trailer, and I managed to find a place that would accept me and my fur babies so I would no longer have to hide them and live in that uncomfortable place of worry and fear. The move was challenging and I was not whatsoever prepared for the level of problems and difficulties there would be with this particular trailer, even the septic system was unexpectedly sealed off to my dismay (I still hope to gain access to septic.) Amid that to I lost my mother after years of battling kidney failure. She passed in September 2024. Just in the in the year before, as well, I lost my best friend to a brain surgery that did not go well. In the past recent while I have endured these two major losses which has impacted me.
Over the past several months, I’ve been trying to build a peaceful, stable life out in the country— (I cannot be more specific as my landlord values his privacy) finally away from the city regulations that forced me to hide my beloved pets, and I have even been able to make several people, and even a local pet store, happy by providing them beautiful well socialized babies on a few occasions through my small on the side of breeding outfit Izzy n Daisys.
Unfortunately, this trailer has proven to be far more broken-down than anticipated, needing frequent (and costly) repairs and modifications which have impacted my finances and have not yet sufficed to bring things up to par (meaning more modification needs to be done for this place to be optimal for my health and safety.)
Even more painful was a toxic relationship that I had originally hoped would work out in a team-based way; that person had told me they would be able to get things going and repaired in ways that did not pan out disappointingly, not to mention I was left hurt and drained after exposure to frequent mood swings etc (without getting too much into it because I don't want to start conflict)
Though I did put this to an end to this and am now surviving out here on my own as a single woman once again, all this drained my finances further.
My debt is currently so deep I am forced to consider a consolidation plan through Sands finances. I really don't get very much from disability at all and though I'm looking into ways to bring in more funds and get out of the poverty trap it's difficult to do stuck in the catch 22 I am currently in. I urgently need a boost to get things better fixed up in my living environment and thus better on top of my health.
I cannot very easily go back, as I have nothing to go back to. I must rebuild from here and your help is so very needed and appreciated. Currently I'm in more of a crisis mode than ever being that my pipes have frozen over resulting in the need to purchase water and disposable dishes for the time being, not costs I was expecting in top of everything else.
Why I’m Asking for Help:
My health is strained due to ongoing stress, patchy living conditions (due specifically to the trailer - my landlord, without saying much to respect privacy, has been good to me) and the heavy burden of unexpected trailer repairs.
I’m juggling small jobs and exploring new opportunities, yet physical limitations from EDS make it a hard catch 22 to manage steady work without the proper environment and tools.
I want to ensure there’s enough space and comfort for my teenage boys to stay with me, which led me to purchase a second, slightly newer trailer for just $150. It has potential, likely more so than the other, but also needs some startup repairs.
I dream of getting back to my advocacy, blogging, and music production—work that can be meaningful and, ultimately, more financially sustainable—if I can just get on stable ground.
Most importantly, I don’t want to give up on a place that finally welcomes me and my pets without judgment.
How Your Support Will Help: I’m aiming to raise around $6,000 to cover immediate needs such as:
On-demand hot water unit: $200–$400
Professional mechanic/repair assistance: $1,500+
Pop-up bath or shower unit: $200
Satellite internet installation: $400 to help me get a better head start re internet promotion/return
Junk hauling/clean-up costs: $300–$500
Electric/heating upgrades: $200–$300
Bill consolidation/health reset fund: $1,000
Medical/pain relief equipment (like a TENS machine): $500
Tools & basic housewares: $400
Every dollar helps—no donation is too small. Even if you can’t donate, sharing this campaign with friends, family, and on social media means the world to me.
Despite the hardships, I remain determined to rise above, keep advocating, and make art that inspires. For more information about this and my work please visit my website! (Dreamerqueen.com) Thank you for reading my story and for considering a donation. Your kindness and generosity are helping me turn a tough situation into a new beginning—allowing me to continue creating, caring for my family and animals, and making a positive impact in the world.
With gratitude and hope,
