# GivingTuesday ~ Year End Appeal is all about celebrating generosity.
At Pit Crew IL Rescue we help the dogs that are often overlooked in shelters due to injuries. We also work with the "Throw Away" dogs that have been severely neglected and/or abused. Each dog that we help requires an extensive amount of medical attention with our vets & specialists, time to heal, time to trust, good nutrition, medications & supplements. Once healed they are provided with training while they wait for their families to find them. There are times that no amount of training can help repair the damage that their pasts have caused, these dogs will have a place to live out their lives, receiving the special care they need to be happy & safe. These resident behavior dogs continue to be provided with training but they also get to live the lives of ordinary pups in a safe environment. When Pit Crew IL Rescue takes responsibility for a pup, we take that responsibility seriously, we don't turn our backs on them when they require individualized environments and cant be adopted out. We also never fully say goodbye to those special pups who have been given a second chance and have found loving homes. We are always there for our pups, helping with medical or behavioral issues, adopted or not! Once entering Pit Crew IL each dog becomes family and family is forever! We will never give up on family, our love & dedication is always about the dogs.
We are a completely volunteer run organization, we do this for the love of each dog. No animal deserves to suffer due to humans who treat them deplorably and throw them away like trash. Donate today to help provide food, medical attention, training & love to the dogs who need it the most. Every penny counts right now as we struggle during this difficult time. W e are counting on supporters like you. Donate to save lives and help to keep our doors open.
Your donations help dogs like Shamus. Shamus had his ears brutally cut off and whoever did it really mangled his poor ears. Then, after torturing him for the "Look", they ignored countless ear infections that are so common with chopped ears. He must have suffered through many ear infections without treatment, we can just imagine the pain he went through that was ignored time and time again. After many infections his ear canals calcified from lack of treatment and he lost his hearing. Sadly his pain doesn't stop there, he continues to get infections in the inner canal that we cant reach due to the calcification. The infections get so bad that the side of his face swells. If the swelling gets to bad it affects his jaw and he can't eat. We are working daily to keep the swelling down while we try to raise money for Shamus to have his ear canals surgically removed. He won't miss the canals, as he is already deaf from the neglect, and he will finally be pain free.
Its dogs like Shamus, who are so incredibly sweet and loving, that we fight for, But we can't do this fight alone. We need your help. This Giving Tuesday we are raising funds for Shamus & our outstanding vet bills. Without your support today we won't have the resources to help any more dogs who need us so badly. We are in a crisis right now, shelters & rescues are bursting at the seams and struggling with a drop in funding. For a small rescue like us, who only specialize in critical medical, this year has been devastating. We have struggled with even the simplest of things like supplies & food. The dogs we have committed to have never gone without, but the struggle prevents us from helping more dogs like Shamus in a time when our type of rescue is needed the most. So please, donate today to provide food, medical attention, training & love to the animals in desperate. Every penny counts right now. We are counting on supporters like you to keep our doors open. Donate to save lives.
