Sanela Kotoric Etterle --well known for her incredible, dedicated work with dogs at Gladno Polje, one of the public shelters in Sarajevo (a hell hole, if it were not for Sanela and her volunteers) -- wrote to us with a desperate plea:

"Can you help me please? I have 12 rescued cats now , but I cannot find a home. Only I found home for 2 cats for the whole year. People donate very little to cats, almost none, and I had to take one pregnant mommy cat off the street because she had lost her kittens on the street once before. She now has 7 babies. Monthly accommodation for 12 is 250 euros plus food and veterinary expenses. Please can you post cats, maybe someone help or adopt one? For me, this is very embarrassing and I really wouldn't ask for help this way, but now I have no a way Thank you and I am sorry really."

She is right, it is almost impossible to raise funds for rescued cats in Bosnia, let alone find homes for them.  But we promised we would do what we could. There are three male cats, a mom and 7 kittens. 

She needs help to cover vet and pension costs, and, we need help to find homes for all of them.

We'll try to raise two month's worth of pension for all the cats and for the vaccinations of the mom and her kittens. The three older male cats are all sterilised and vaccinated. Later we will try to raise funds for the sterilisation of the mom and her kittens. 

Any amount at all will make a difference. Thank you so much. Cats do not get much help in Bosnia, so please let's make a difference. And please share, thank you!
