Hello everyone!

As many of your know, we have been fostering this cutie, Sadie, since the beginning of September. Sadie was rescued off of the streets of Texas and has had a rough life until Melissa McCalister of Soul Dog scooped her up and brought her to Colorado.

At some point in her life, Sadie was hit by (at least) one car, causing a herniated diaphragm. This past weekend, this situation became critical as the hernia has allowed for many of her internal organs to creep up into her chest cavity. Sadie will be undergoing surgery Monday, March 4th, 2019.

This surgery is risky, as well as very expensive, and the rescue is pooling together what limited resources they have to make sure it happens. As we all know, rescues are often underfunded and have so many other animals that they are helping at all times, and this surgery is going to put a huge dent in their coffers, draining it quite considerably.

We would love to help them pay for as much of the surgery as possible and offset any recovery expenses that Sadie will incur from being in the ICU for a couple of days after the surgery for close monitoring. Any and all money will go to her surgery and recovery, with any remaining money being donated directly to the rescue so the can continue their awesome mission of rescuing animals and offering low/no cost spay and neuter to underserved communities. The rescue has shared that they are happy to forward along a donation receipt for your contribution for 2019 taxes as well. :)
