I do not know where or when Lil Hounds story began. What I do know are the tales regaled to me by a sweet hound loving senior woman. Lil hound was running a neighborhood in Staten Island as a trouble making  stray. Miss Irma took in this rascally young hound dog and named him Wishbone.  

Wishbone became great company and emotional support to Miss Irma, who was always entertained by his mischievous ways and typical hound dog temperament and sounds. 

Unfortunately in the summer of 2016 Miss Irma fell on hard times. She had lost her home and all her worldly possessions in an eviction. Miss Irma was left with a couple of bags, her wheelchair and her beloved dog with no place to call home. Devastated, her only concern was her Wishbone and finding him a place to stay till she can get on her feet.

Her Wishbone has become our little punk Houseguest Hound Dog. Miss Irma had no choice but to go to a homeless shelter.  We made a commitment to her to provided Lil Hound sanctuary until she can be with him again. 

Lil Hound is struggling with a few medical issues, (seizures and a chronic cough are the two major concerns at this time) which has depleted Miss Irma's finances which are very limited and has started to tap us out financially also. He needs constant veterinary followups, maintenance medications and continued tests so we can figure out what is causing his multiple clinical symptoms. 

Lil Hound is now estimated to be 9 years old and is a lively Lil fella with a lot of life left in him. We need help to continue to help him have the best quality of life possible.
