My name is James and I rescue pitbulls. I am not supported by anyone, I have been doing this out of my pocket, however, this time I need some help. Thor is my latest rescue. I took Thor from his owner in August of 2015. I took Thor because his owner was not able to work with him and his problems and was going to dump him in the pound or the desert(both were death sentences). Thor developed seperation anxiety, excessive barking,leash aggression, destructive chewing, and a few other bad habits. Due to his issues and my situation, he was unable to stay with me, so Thor had to be boarded. During his time with me, we started working with a local rescue group, Little Rascals Rescue in Phoenix, and would go join the adoption events during the weekends. Thor had a few people interested in taking him, but they had the same problems, couldn't work with his behavorial problems. Over the last 2 months Thor and I have been working hard on his behavior, Thor also went to a doggy bootcamp to work on his problems. Happy to say that after his training, he has drastically improved in all areas, although we still have work that needs to done with his kennel anxiety. Now, Thor has a new home lined up in Washinton with a new owner that has worked with many of the problems Thor has. The good news is Thor has a new home to go to that will work with him, the bad news is, the time has to pay the bills. Thor's total cost for boarding was right at $4500, and his boot camp was another $1500. Any money raised will go directly towards his bills, and any money that goes above his rescue cost will be donated to Little Rascals Rescue to help with their cause.
