So my boyfriend (pictured above, cute, right?) and I are pretty much nomads, going city to city riding freight trains, hitchhiking etc. You're all probably thinking that doesn't sound like a very safe lifestyle and as it turns out that's totally a thing. The night Before Thanksgiving a stranger offered us a place to crash. The weather was about to get gross so we accepted. As the evening wore on the guy kept touching me, at first casuallly, then full out grabbing my butt. He responded to my boyfriend's request to not touch his girlfriend by hitting him, and a fight broke out. Despite the injuries the other guy ended up with being super minor, (broken nose and broken tooth) he elected to press charges even though he started the fight. Cops aren't always understanding when it comes to filthy hobo kids and now we're in a big mess with him in jail and me and his mother scrambling to come up with a way to get him out. However bail is super high, and none of us has one of those fancy job things, so he's probably going to be sitting for a minute, so I'm gonna need some help staying here in Kansas until he's out, since my family is all in Wisconsin which is way too far away to actually work. Money raised will go towrds basic upkeep for myself and those necessary oh crap I'm living inside I need this type things. Both his mother and I will be insanely grateful because he's pretty important to us and these charges are just ridiculous. We're going to have a serious conversation about housing up and being adults once he's out, but should we continue this lifestyle it's really not safe for me to be out on the road without him, and it's pretty cool that he's clearly willing to defend me even if it ended sucky.
