Hello my name is Roseanne Thompson & im 21
as a young girl i loved running, i was always so happy and bubbly. i wanted to be an olypic runner, i was the fastest girl in my town and was going to run for northamptonshire. that was until i had my first period at 11 and the hormones change, well changed me. from age 11 i have battled with brittle asthma and have been on adult medication and home oxygen for ten years now. when i was 15/16 i had my son, i was in labour 12 hours and my lung collapsed, i had my first heart attack. doctors told me i could never have kids but yet here i was with a child and a lung down.
at ages 18/19 i had my daughter. desbite my asthma i battled through the pregnancy, my daughter was born with 5 holes in her heart and myself and her dad spent 16 weeks in leicester glenfield hospital watching our daughter battle for her life. i was still on nebulisers at the hospital they where really amazing. my daughter finally had her open heart surgery and was let home being tube fed. My asthma was still bad but i had the kids and would never let them see me bad.
a few months later i have my second heart attack and i find out that i am 32 weeks pregnant. the only way for determination was to give birth and only have half the dose of tablets basically meaning i would have to do all the work on my own. i refused it was emotionally to much for me. One month later on christmas night i had my third heart attack. my body was done i was sure of it. I made it some how. and a few weeks llater my daughter was born. during my ciserian i made the choice to be sterilised. they cut through my blader and i was left with a cathiter for months, mentally it tore me apart i was so embarrassed.
i know what everyone probably thinks! why have kids when you are so bad but my kids where not planned. and even though my pregnancies where bad, my children have gave me the motivation to fight because without them this suffering is for nothing. I would suffer the rest of my life for them but i know my body cant cope anymore, thats why its so important to get this private treatment.
My asthma continued as normal daily nebulisers and high doses of medication when i recieved a call that i was finally getting put on the lung transplant list. things where finally going to get better.
They didnt. during my testing they thought i had severe aplatic anemia, i done trials but ended up with radiation poisoning and my asthma was worse than ever. after more testing they thought i had lupus or orosteosarcoma......i ended up with both.
although lupus in uncurable i will still live a normal life expectancy. now i am getting chemo for my cancer. they said i had to have had it for months as it had started to spread.
i have never been lucky and im trying to raise money private treatment. although the nhs is good for most people they have always let me down and left me worse for ware, there is so much out there in private clinics. i refuse to claim disibility as not just because i am to proud but the system has always done me wrong i will never turn to them to let me down as usual. i know no one will understand but i want a chance to live my life with my children, a chance to be what they deserve and a chance to have a day where im not struggling to breathe or worry my health will take me before i see my kids grow up.
wether the treatment is for the cancer or for my asthma it would make a huge difference to my life and my childrens. even if people dont donate, just maybe advice or clinics you know that offer treatments would mean all the same. you can reach me on babythompson93@gmail.com

my sister always says im to stuborn to ask for help but now i am asking for everyone and anyones help. think its time i swollow my pride and think of my children who need me espeically my daughter.
