me and a team of students will be taking on a development project in support of orphaned and abandoned children living in Transylvania, in the heart of Romania. Despite recent membership of the EU, Romania still lives with the legacy of generations of severely disadvantaged children and young people. Many live in care homes in the absence of caring families, and lack the attention and support afforded to many of their better-off counterparts across Europe. The student volunteers on this expedition will be putting their energy and enthusiasm into helping to improve care home accommodation and to provide activities for children who would otherwise be unsupervised and ignored during the long summer months.

Romania is one of the poorest countries in Europe. Widespread poverty, unemployment, and corruption have made it difficult for the country to move forward and have created a real need for the kind of work done by Projects Abroad volunteers.
i will be going to help children in schools and care, who dont have the learning facilities, and we will give them life skills they will keep for the rest of the lives.
As a Care volunteer in Romania, we will work in day care centers and help care for and support young children. At the day care center, we will be able to make a positive impact on the children’s lives by talking to them and giving them much-needed individual attention and affection. we can also organize arts and crafts, games, songs, sports, and teach basic English to help aid their development.
this cannot happen with out your help.
