As you may know, Save Rocky the Great Dane Rescue, in Bullard, Texas is a very loving, caring rescue that not only rescues Danes but also many other dogs in need. Athena is one of those “other” dogs that they stepped in to save. Athena was found as a stray three months ago – she was hairless, emaciated and dying. As you can see, Athena looks well today after much work to save her from near death – HOWEVER, Athena has a large tumor on her throat and surgery is needed A.S.A.P. since she is at a much healthier state, now is the time to do it before she begins to go down again due to the cancer.
