We would like to share with you this amazing project in honor of Stella`s Hannibals art legacy, that`s in need of your support. You may or may not be aware that Stella was a phenomenal self taught artist. What we all are sure of is that Stella was passionate about sharing her gift and inspiring others. The Stella`s Butterfly Project is a three tier program promoting advocacy and awareness of the use of art as therapy and the healing benefits of art.
Our Mission is to make a difference thru creative expression, by providing exploration of these creative resource tools in minority communities. Our work is seriously needed in our communities that lack resources, knowledge and open cultural response to the therapy process. Our goal is to share and show how to use the benefits of art as a form of healing in a open platform.
Story Of Stella`s Butterfly
This is Stella's Butterfly Project started in honor of my mother`s art legacy. My mom Stella Hannibal and I started thinking of ways we can help others with art while she was in Memorial Sloan Kettering hospital. After her passing in 2012 the idea then became in her memory Stella`s Butterfly Project my mother was a self taught artist she's been painting all my life she taught me to appreciate art respect art and express creative freedom. While fighting her cancer battle to keep up her motor skills she started drawing this butterfly she completed one wing and asked my brother and I to complete the other wing. This butterfly is her last original creative art drawing and went with us every where we went, It kept us united together as a family thru her battle. For us its a symbol of her strength and creative spirit which is the essence of our logo surrounded by love.

Open to all New York tri state individuals families within the ages of 14 and up.Our Free Stella`s Butterfly ART HEALS U Workshop is a 4 week Series Exploring The Creative Use Of Technology To Create Original Art Work. We need your support in reaching our goal to provide free creative programs and art as therapy awareness events in minority communities. Community Angels help us soar our Community Mission. Together were a positive movement, By leveraging the power of our networks to broaden awareness, educate community, and encourage them to use art as a healing tool in social settings. Each community angel contributes to a Stella`s Butterfly ART HEAL U workshop series. Supporters will be mentioned on our event brochures ,banners , and website
