Monday afternoon, Sister Maria Matei, our daughters (Ioana & Cristina) grandmother was rushed to the hospital in Brasov with strong chest pains and shortness of breath and is now scheduled for emergency surgery to unblock three totally blocked arteries near the valves of her heart.

Sister Maria is a true widow and cannot work due to her declining health conditions (that is also why she is unable to care for Ioana and Cristina) and we have stepped out on faith and promised her that she need not worry about her hospital and doctor bills as the Lord would provide and take care of everything for her. Sister Maria lives in a simple one room apartment and very "modest" conditions due to the fact that her husband has been deceased for many years now.

She is faithful member in our Local Church in Codlea and we are asking God's people from all parts of the world to help her by fervently praying and also by participating to be a blessing by giving a small one-time offering to off-set the costs of her surgery, hospital stay and needed medicines when she returns "home". It may also be necessary for Ioana to return and stay with her grandmother for some time while she is recuperating and we want to be prepared to assist in any way that the Lord sees fit or is truly necessary during this time.
