Help Us Fight for Justice for My Father

Hello, my name is Mary Grace Camat, me and my family reaching out with a heavy heart to seek your help for my 69-year-old father, who has been wrongly accused of acts of lasciviousness.

Let me share our story. My parents, who are both unemployed, have been helping children in our neighborhood by using our e-bike to take them to and from school and they parents pay for them with small amount of money like 800 per kid per month . For three years, they’ve been helping a single mother and her children, as they sympathized with their difficult situation after being abandoned by their father. My mother often cooked for them and even lent their mother money, asking her to repay whenever she could.

My father, who is kind-hearted and generous, often helped children in need by treating them to food. One day, after picking up a teenage girl from school, he took her to McDonald’s for a meal when she mentioned she was hungry. While she were eating in the parking area, surrounded by cars and people, the girl later claimed that my father acted inappropriately by kissing her in that day. They were in a parking lot with people around, according to my father, and he was in front of the e-bike, not beside the girl. My father couldn't even imagine how he could have done anything since he was struggling to reach the girl, as the front seat allows one person-the driver-to sit and he is a big and chubby man that time, with space for two passengers at the back. This aligns with the girl's statement in court that my father never got off the e-bike and was sitting in front of it the entire time. However, she added that my father grabbed her in the park and forced a kiss with his tongue. We tried sitting in front of the e-bike, and it's truly difficult to replicate such actions. It's also hard to believe given the presence of a car and people constantly, especially since the incident allegedly occurred around lunchtime, at approximately 12:00pm.

Then, a case was filed, adding an additional allegation from February 2024. When the case began, the girl initially stated i. The court that my father never touched her. However, the claim about a deep kiss with tongue appears to be fabricated, as my father firmly denies it ever happened, and the story seems inconsistent. —allegations that are completely false.
 

Despite my father initially stating that nothing happened, the girl claims have now led to my father facing two counts of acts of lasciviousness. My father cannot read or write and only finished second grade in elementary school. He has never been involved in any wrongdoing his entire life, and these accusations are devastating for our family. He may possibly face a prison sentence of 12 years or more, considering that he is already 69 years old.

To fight this case and prove his innocence, we need to raise funds for attorney’s fees (₱150,000), appearance fees, and bail (₱400,000). This is an overwhelming amount for us, and we are humbly seeking your support.

My father is an elderly man who has always been kind and selfless. We cannot bear the thought of him being imprisoned for a crime he did not commit. Now, he has become very thin and often falls sick because of this issue. He even breaks down in tears when he thinks about it, constantly pleading with us to believe him, even though we already do.
