Mariia is a young Ukrainian newly trained pharmacist with a bright future ahead of her. Unfortunately, the war has left her without employment and means to provide for her family including her 93-year-old grandmother. Maria is proud to be from a family of three generations of strong women, through sponsorship she successfully completed 6 years of higher education to achieve the profession of Pharmacist. Despite the difficulties her family faces during this time of war, Mariia has decided to make the challenging journey to Canada alone.

Funds raised will provide for her travel, support, and settlement costs as she works towards becoming a new member of our Canadian community. Like so many Ukrainians we have had the privilege to witness over this last month, undoubtedly, Mariia will inspire many with her courage and determination. As a health professional, Mariia welcomes the opportunity to join our health care system and looks forward to contributing her talents, education, and skills to help care for others.
