Hello,

My name is Marcus Barnes, and I just recently returned from Louisiana after splitting with my Ex-girlfriend. On, April 24, 2017, Marcus and Mason, my two beautiful sons were born in Lafayette , Louisiana. I  was living in Dallas, Tx at the time and had to, and gladly left my promising career at a major restaurant casual dining chain to move to Louisiana. I'm a career Restaurant Manager, and have always enjoyed the Hospitality business.

Unfortunately, for me, when Marcus and Mason were born, my Ex was, and still is legally married to her husband. In Louisiana, the law says that If the woman is legally married, my name cant be on the Birth Certificate. I figured that I would deal with that later after I proved Paternity. Me and her moved to Lake Charles, La, and begin to start our family. I got another Restaurant Manager job in Louisiana, and had to go 3 hours away from Lake Charles, La to do my training. That's when things started going bad for our relationship. I was the ONLT provider for the family, (she chose not to work), which was fine with me because I was ok with her staying home and taking care of the babies.

Unfortunately, our relationship went down hill in October, 2017, and we ended up breaking up.

Between November 2017 and December 2017, I sent my Ex close to $3000.00 to care for herself and the babies. In December, she started hinting that the twins were not mine but her Husband's. Pretty devastating news to hear since I had spent the last 15 months believing that they were my babies.

I then paid for a DNA test(over $500.00) and she assured me that she would take them to get tested, but she chose to go to another DNA testing site, taking her husband and getting tested. They have 2 kids together, and just based on her comments to me over the phone, I have doubts that she got the twins tested.

Also, during the whole month of November, I was in Ruston, La, and she brought the twins to me for Thanksgiving. However, I found out later, that she had filed a Restraining Order against me alleging some wild accusations, and downright lies. She tricked me into coming to her under the pretense that I could see the babies, and when I got there, I was arrested for violating a restraining order I DIDNT even know I had.

I lost my job and was forced to move back to Dallas. Thankfully, I am close to going back to the company that I worked for when the twins were born.

However, I need help. I STRONGLY believe that she is trying to cheat my out of my children. Thankfully, I have text and audio proving that she deceived me into thinking there were NO restraining order in place. I am in need of legal representation, and it has proved DIFFICULT to obtain counsel, either the legal fees are out of this world, or I cant get PRO BONO help.I'm asking that you please donate to my cause. There are a lot of fathers that would have just walked away when they were told that the children weren't theirs, but I'm here to fight for my 2 Son's. I have written to all the major news outlets, FOX, CNN, MSNBC, ABC News, Dallas Morning News, as well as to President Trump, and President Obama. (President Obama did respond back, which I appreciate) and I will continue to write and cause attention to my cause.
