My name is Zak Yates and i am part of the volunteer team helping to restore the iconic Morecambe Winter Gardens theatre. The restoration has been going on now for many many years as there is so much to do and we keep doing what we can each week to get that one step closer. 

Restoration work can only take place when there are enough funds to do so and at the present time we are trying to get heating and electric sorted so that more shows and events can take place all throughout the year.

With more shows wanting to take place there now and more interest being shown in this amazing theatre we also need to look after all the performers and crew that work on putting these great shows on. Work had started on the dressing rooms on one side but never got completed due to running out of money. This fundraser is to be able to finish these dressing rooms off and also re-instate the dressing roooms on the opposite side along with another toilet/shower room to allow the performers and crew the best facilities possible to get changed in and not have to do it under torch light and worry about holes in the wall and dust flying everywhere.

The money raised will be spent on new ceilings, plaster for the walls, carpet throughout, benches and mirrors and also toilet/shower facilities.
