Yes we are begging again... It has been an extremely busy year for Gentle Giants .. A lot of rescued dogs with huge vetting needs... As many of you know we follow a strict protocol for the health and safety not only for the dogs we rescue but for our foster home animals and my personal animals and to keep Disease from traveling to other states... We quarrantine for 14 days once a dog is pulled from a shelter. The basic vetting we give them is as follows... Full exam.. All shots rabies DHLPP Bordatella..hw Lyme test .. Fecals and parasite treatment  full CBC blood panels and t4 thyroid tests

then if there are any issues we treat .. We get rescue discounts at our vet and vets in other states but it all adds up... Right now we owe our vet $11,000 and that's not including sheebas tests and boarding .. Buddy the heartworm positive senior pyr in Alabama is due to arrive in nj on aug 21 he also had erichilosis that he was put on doxy for as well as for the beginning if hw treatment  he will begin hw treatment when he arrives in the 21st. We have teddy the Berner saint boy that started thyroid meds and needs a large growth taken off his side.. There was mouse and Molly from Nebraska  Molly has a foster home and no issues but mouse is boarding at vet being treated for a horrible yeast bacterial infection all over her body and ears and also conjunctivitis .. We have a foster for her pending home visit but until them she is boarding with all her tests meds etc I have no idea yet what her bill will be... We take in the worst of the worst most if the time and yes I have a huge heart and get the treatment when they need it and worry about the funds later...maybe I shouldn't but mist if the dogs are urgent and I won't let them down... We recently opened a senior special needs saint sanctuary in Conway SC. We pulled Frank a 6 year old saint had him boarded vetted and sent to sanctuary. Frank isn't happy with other dogs so he's back in boarding. With all franks vetting. We have spent over $1000 and owe for two weeks boarding... I know rescue isn't easy and things sometimes don't go as planned but when I commit to a dog it's for the long haul no matter what obstacles get in the way.
