The current and widespread crisis in West Africa, according to health officials, is "the deadliest ever Ebola outbreak". With an incubation period of two to twenty-one days and a fatality rate of up to 90%, it is difficult to detect and even harder to contain. Samaritan's Purse explains that this vicious disease "inflicts excruciating pain in victims as they hemorrhage before death."

According to the World Heath Organization, "Ebola, one of the world's most deadly and contagious diseases, has now infected at least 1,093 people in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea, and now Nigeria."

By donating to this fund, you are partnering directly with CenterPoint International, a non-profit organization based in Monrovia, Liberia. 100% of the proceeds will be gifted to Samaritan's Purse to aid their work in West Africa.

"Samaritan’s Purse has deployed a team to provide direct patient care to Ebola victims in Liberia, where we have had a country office for more than a decade. The team includes doctors, nurses, logistics personnel, and experts in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). We are running case management centers at two sites: Foya, in northern Liberia on the border with Guinea; and at ELWA Hospital outside Monrovia.

Supportive care by trained medical personnel can both reduce the number of patient deaths and help contain the spread of the disease. Since March, Samaritan’s Purse has also spearheaded an ongoing, multimedia national awareness campaign in Liberia, educating hundreds of thousands on the prevention and treatment of Ebola."

I ask you now to please join with us to bring relief to our brothers and sisters in need. Please share this campaign, donate, and most importantly, pray. God bless.
