Cody Piscitelli, my brother, is 19 years old, and is enrolled at NIC for Business Administration so he can assist our father at the family business, C & M Performance Racing Suspension, a Race Tech dirt bike suspension and repair shop. A video of Cody, doing what he loves: Over the weekend, Cody crashed his dirt bike practicing at the Airway Heights Motocross Park. Cody has total paralysis from the middle of the chest down, after suffering a T4 and T5 complete spinal cord injury. Despite the immensity of this situation, Cody is extremely positive. Here is the first post he made on Facebook and a link to his page: Cody Piscitelli Sunday near Spokane, WA via mobile I was fortunate enough to live 19 long years with my legs. I always lived on the edge. At least I still have my arms. I’m very fortunate to be alive. Thank you everyone so much. I'm making the best out of it. Our mother has had to go on leave from her work, Cody is obviously unable to work, Mike’s business slows in the winter months and, the family will need to modify their 1970’s Hayden split entry home to accommodate a wheel chair lift, shower, and accessibility. We also need a van with wheelchair llift and a wheelchair. To say that this is going to financially devastate them is an understatement. If you know someone who can guide them through this process of physical and emotional recovery or the modifications to their home, please pass on the information. They need a van with a wheel chair lift most desperately. And if you are able to help with a financial contribution, Spokane Teachers Credit Union has the Cody Piscitelli Benefit Fund, Member # 276001, or donate directly here, through Paypal. We are so thankful that Cody is still here with us to provide his amazing hugs and strength of goodwill for us all. He continues to remain positive and adapt to the challenges that he faces. Please take a moment to think of him and our family, give what you can, and let it remind us to live our lives the way we want every day with no regrets. Thank you. Every little bit helps!
