Cody Piscitelli, my brother, is 19 years old, and is enrolled at NIC for Business Administration so he can assist our father at the family business, C & M Performance Racing Suspension, a Race Tech dirt bike suspension and repair shop. Cody has total paralysis from the middle of the chest down, after suffering a T4 and T5 complete spinal cord injury. Despite the immensity of this situation, Cody is extremely positive. Our mother has had to go on leave from her work, Cody is obviously unable to work, Mike’s business slows in the winter months and, the family will need to modify their 1970’s Hayden split entry home to accommodate a wheel chair lift, shower, and accessibility. We also need a van with wheelchair llift and a wheelchair. To say that this is going to financially devastate them is an understatement. If you know someone who can guide them through this process of physical and emotional recovery or the modifications to their home, please pass on the information. They need a van with a wheel chair lift most desperately.
