Amber Moore-Barcus hasn't added a story.
In February of 2018, Bryan Flanders filed a $2 million
defamation/libel/slander lawsuit against several members of the
Acroyoga Community.
He filed against Amber Moore-Barcus and Matt Talbert (and
others, some dismissed) because they posted on AcroYoga Facebook
groups to inform the community of serious allegations that had been
made by several women. He filed against Ashlee Conlin because she
came forward regarding her upsetting experiences with him.
The subject matters are sensitive and vary in severity. They are
potentially triggering, and involve several people.
We have now been defending ourselves against Bryan’s lawsuit for more than a year. Knowing that defeat would not only result in a major monetary judgment against us, but also a gag order that would silence us and anyone that chooses to speak out in contradiction to Bryan. We continue to fight.
But, lawyers are expensive. A lawsuit like this is
extraordinarily time consuming and stressful mentally, emotionally,
and financially. All defendants have another year or possibly longer
to continue this battle. So far,
we have incurred over $65,000 in legal fees
. Credit cards are maxed out and some of us have had to rely on
the generosity of family members for housing, government aid for
food, and loans from family and friends to pay legal fees and other
bills. The legal bills continue to mount.
The entire court case/legal filing is in the public record. Any
citizen can look it up at the Salt Lake County 3rd District Court at
the Matheson Courthouse. The case file number is #180901001. This is
free to access at this location. You can also use the court’s online
xchange system, but it does require a small fee:

Many of you have reached out asking how you can help. Please
donate if you are able, and PLEASE share far and wide. Your support
is greatly appreciated! If this funding request were to go viral, it
would make an enormous difference in pushing back against the
accused; whom we believe is determined to silence those who wish to
seek the truth.
Please, if you know of someone of means or an organization whom
would be willing to speak with us about funding our defense, contact
us directly.
It is unknown how long this will take or how much it will cost
which is why the goal is set so high. All money raised will go
directly to cover legal fees. This includes repaying those that have
already loaned us money to help with our legal fees.
If you are uncomfortable donating through the fundrazr platform (which is like gofundme, but does not siphon off a fee for the service) or would like to donate to a specific person, you can contact their lawyers directly at:

Each and every penny is greatly appreciated and no amount is
“too small”. NONE of us involved are willing to sign an injunction
forcing us to be quiet. We hope to fight to the end and let the
courts decide.
Thank you for your support!
Sincerely,
Amber Moore-Barcus
Matt Talbert
