Elvis has acute pancreatitis with DIC syndrome. His condition is considered critical and he is been treated with strong pain killers and is on iv. There is no known cause of the pancreatitis. This is very sad as the symptoms are very hard to see. Due to DIC he is anemic and if he makes it through the night then will need a blood transfusion. Unfortunately the news are not good.
I m very sorry as Elvis came to our rescue 14 months ago when he was hit by a car and his intestines were hanging outside his body for days. The vets gave a real fight to keep him alive and operated him immediately. He stayed at the clinic for almost 6 weeks. Elvis was happy at the shelter and all this time we were looking for a forever for him.
Today in the xrays they also saw pellets in his body. This boy not only he was hit by a car but he was also shot
Poor Elvis your life was full of pain. I will pray with all my heart that you will make it through this time as well and hope someone will give you a forever home.
