Chevy and Habibi are rescue salukis each with their own story and have been in foster care for a while in Dubai now. We have found foster homes in California for them through the rescue group Greyhounds Friends for Life (http://bit.ly/1S5koYj) and we believe that it will be easier to find their forever homes if they are in the USA.
Chevy is a 4 year old boy who has been through a lot. He was born with deformed front legs (curved badly causing him pain and unable to run, you can see the scars from his 5 surgeries) and after raising USD6000, we managed to correct his deformity. He is not perfect but now he can run and play like normal. And he is such a happy boy, gets along well with other sighthounds and dogs, kids and families and cats. He has been in foster care for over a year now.
Habibi was found on the streets in Abu Dhbai and was scared of people, noise and cars. He hated to be touch but now after 5 months he is much improved and learning to be a pet. He needs an active home as he is a young boy 2 years old and is very active, loves to run and play.
These two have not been able to find homes yet in Dubai and we feel that if they are in the USA, it would be easier to find homes for them.
The money goes towards their export papers, vet health certificates, tests and air fare travel via a flight buddy as excess baggage. We have a flight on Monday March 28 so we do need to hurry and find the funds for it! So far we have raise abit but need a total of USD1500.
