Lestat's Sister, Smokey, is Sick and Needs Help
Last weekend, we had an amazing transport and saved many kitties from animal control. You'll recall Lestat, who was an instant crowd favorite.
Now his sister, Dori (who was formerly know as Smokey, but is now named after me, awwwww), is very, very sick. She is spending nights at the ER vet, getting fluids, anti-nausea medication, appetite stimulants and around-the-clock care. She is getting the best care possible.
But this is very expensive for her new forever family, Cuteheads Carol and Jarrod K. They recently lost one of their kitties, Mini, to cancer, and the vet bills are piling up quickly.
They are wonderful, though, and will make sure Dori gets whatever she needs. I am so grateful she is with them!
I feel that Dori, Lestat and Callie were so attached to their former ownders that being surrendered honestly drove them into depression and they are just so sad. Callie is also struggling with getting better, but is lucky to have the financial support of a rescue.
My heart aches for this whole family of gorgeous and incredibly sweet kitties, and now for Carol and her family, as they struggle through helping sweet Dori get better.
They adopted her and opened their homes to her to save her. Can we help them do that?
Her ER vet overnights are $600 each, she is in isolation.
She has visited the vet 3 times already before this, for fluids, exams and medication.
They now want to do xrays and bloodwork, for even more cost.

Anything we can do to help would be huge for them. Even $1 helps. Her new family wants her home and healthy again, and we all have every finger and paw crossed that this can happen.
