To be straight forward I am writing this to ask for your help. At first, I was very reluctant to do this because 1, I’ve never done this before, & 2 I really find it hard to ask for anything. After speaking with a few people, I was humbled & encouraged to do this despite myself.

I’ve been diagnosed w/ Epidural Fibrosis, which in short is scar tissue formation from a previous back surgery that is entrapping my nerve root of my spinal disc at two separate levels, my L5 disc & my tailbone area. To give you a quick background, I had a L5-S1 Discectomy Surgery & Laminectomy on February 3, 2011. Immediately after I got home from the surgery I felt that something was terribly wrong. The pain I was in was something completely new & extremely painful. I figured this was from the actual surgery & that in a few weeks it would go away. It never did. I then went on short-term disability in hopes that it would go away by the 6 months. By the end of this time nothing had changed, & my back was just as it was from the day of surgery. Long story short, in desperation to save my house, I tried to go back to work, but shortly after 3 weeks I had to stop. Consequently, I could no longer pay my bills, was forced to foreclose on my house, file for bankruptcy, & had to move out and stay with family as I was no longer able to take care of myself. I’ve been to approximately 6 different ortho & neuro surgeons & countless regular Doctors to find help, but to no avail and no real answers, but other than to take pain medicine, enough to kill a horse & the average person, & to take it easy.

After living in constant & unrelenting pain, & after feeling very hopeless, & depressed, approximately 2 weeks ago I felt a tug on my heart & something inside telling me to go to my old pain Doctors website, ARIZONAPAIN.COM. On there under Pain Conditions I clicked on Post-Laminectomy aka Failed Back Surgery Syndrome. And started to read & saw the familiar term Epidural Fibrosis, & the treatment that they offer for it, The “Racz” Procedure, aka Epidural Lysis of Adheisons. In short, it’s a non-invasive procedure, where they go in the area under live fluoroscopic guidance & inject an enzyme that breaks up the scar tissue and frees up the nerve root. I must say that when I first saw this it really felt like I had won the jackpot, that now there was at least hope to finally get better, something in the horizon, and the possibility of getting my life back!

I really feel led to do this procedure. The Dr has been a God send in the past with my Spinal Meningitis and I really feel that God lead me to him again for my current situation.

I am asking for your help to raise enough funds financially for this procedure or that if you could pray that God would provide & use this to heal me, which ever God puts on your heart. Also, that if you can pray for God to fully heal me so I can get back to life, fellowship, serving, work, & for God to continue using me to minister to those who are hurting in pain & to even further using me in a greater way for the hurting. I truly & greatly appreciate whatever you can help with. The discounted cash price for this procedure is $1,500 plus airfare of approximately $200. I currently have $171 to my name. I don’t qualify for state disability out here for CA because I haven’t worked here and haven’t put into their system. And I tried for AZ but they don’t offer it, it’s a state by state thing and currently only 5 states offer this program. Currently I receive food stamps & $187 for General Relief, which is enough for my very basic needs, my family has been very generous w/ me up until this point financially & have allowed me to live with them and have been helping out with my bills. They’ve been stretched & can no longer help me anymore due to there own financial burdens.

Also, anything above my medical cost, I will be giving that back to the Lord at my local church.

I would like to thank everyone for considering me & for taking the time out to read this. I thank everyone in advance & am hopeful that God will provide if its His will to do so. If you can help financially it would be best if I could raise enough before December 12th due to the Holidays & due to the Doctors limited availability during this time. Otherwise it would after the first of the year. God willing it maybe can be done before December 12th that way I can get on the road to recovery as soon as possible.
