My name is Vyette Tiya, and I am a dancer, choreographer, teacher, and organizer based in Philadelphia. I am directing a new dance work to premier this September!
I am directing, choreographing, and performing in a new dance show to debut this September as part of the 2026 Philadelphia Fringe Festival. We will have three performances: September 13, 17 & 23.
For the past 3 months, I have been self-financing this project, but I need your help to bring it to the finish line! Your contribution will help me cover the costs of:
- Studio space for rehearsals
- Paying my dancers for their time and effort
- Hiring a photographer and videographer to document this work
I am so excited to present this dance project! We began creating this work in January 2026, while I was participating in the Residency for Emerging Artists Program (REAP) through the Leah Stein Dance Company. This project means so much to me, and I am honored to work with a talented cast of dancers!
