My Journey to Affirmation: Top Surgery and HRT Fund
Hi everyone,
My name is Fer Tolentino, and I am reaching out to you today to ask for your support in a very important chapter of my life.
I am currently a student in Mexico, working hard toward my future. While I am incredibly fortunate to have a supportive mother, she is a single parent who is already doing everything she can to fund my education. Because all of our family's financial resources are dedicated to my studies, covering the high costs of gender-affirming healthcare on my own is currently impossible.
The Goal
I am raising funds to cover two essential parts of my transition:

Top Surgery (Mastectomy): This procedure is vital for my mental health and will help alleviate the gender dysphoria I experience daily.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT): To cover the costs of medical consultations, blood work, and the medication itself.
Living authentically is a necessity for my well-being. Achieving this goal will allow me to feel comfortable in my own skin and finally focus on my university degree and my passions without the weight of dysphoria holding me back.

Where I Am Now
I am just at the beginning of this journey. I have my first official medical appointment scheduled for early May. During this visit, my doctor will provide me with a clearer roadmap, including precise costs for surgery, laboratory tests (An expense at the moment of 100 dollars which may seem small but in my currency is a lot for me), and my hormone replacement therapy (HRT) protocol.
I am committed to transparency and will be posting updates here as soon as I have more specific details from my doctor.
