Our family is asking for assistance. We would like to raise $5,000 to cover overdue bills and future costs of medical treatment for my mother, Lisa.

Over the last 1.5 years my mom has struggled with her health. It began as a poor appetite, abdominal pain and weight loss. Multiple trips to the hospital until she was finally diagnosed with diverticulitis. With a new diet she began to feel better.

Then at the beginning of this year a lump was discovered in her breast which turned out to be triple negative breast cancer. She had 2 surgeries to remove the cancerous tissue in her breast and began a series of 4 chemo treatments in July to ensure there is not more cancer. She has done 3 chemo treatments and has one more, but that has been post poned.

For several days after her 3rd treatment, she was in and out of the hospital unable to have bowel movements. Tuesday night she had to have emergency surgery to remove part of her intestines. Her diverticulitis had advanced and nearly killed her because the contents of her intestines were leaking into her body. 

She is currently in MICU recovering and being treated for multiple bacterial infections from her intestines leaking into her abdomen. The doctors are please with her progress.

The financial burden of medical bills over the last year has taken it's toll and become too great for our family alone to manage them. Our goal is $10,000, but we are asking for any amount that you can give.  Please share this fundraiser with others and say a prayer for my mom to continue recovering.
