Hi, my name is Angie, I am desperately seeking help for my friend Paul Clancy.
I realise everyone is finding things tough at the moment, but some tougher than others.
Paul is a good guy, a real gentle giant; in the middle of the pandemic, his employment was abruptly terminated.
Paul has two adorable dogs, each rescued as weeks old babies, saving them from certain death here in Cyprus, where animal neglect and abandonment is frequent.
He has had Poppy nearly 7 years, and Diesel almost 4 years, their birthdays are both around Christmas.
Unfortunately Paul's story is not unique, he has lived here for several years, worked hard, paid his dues, and always shown kindness to people and animals less well of. Disaster has struck this year, his job was abruptly terminated 3 months ago, and he has also become physically unwell with Bel's Palsy, affecting his hearing, facial muscles and his eyesight.
He has had to face the decision that his only choice is to return to UK, both for his health & for future employment.
After investigating the costs of taking his dogs home with him, he was distressed to think he couldn't take them,for both financial reasons, and for not having somewhere suitable to take them.
in pieces, he wrote a facebook ppost pleading to friends and public for help in rehoming his furbabies. he received both public and personal attacks for asking for help. He was not planning to abandon them, or like many others, leae in their abandoned accommodation, he just wanted the best and safest option for them.
long story short, ....Paul has done something short of a miracle and managed to get accommodation for the first few months at least, where he can live and have Poppy and diesel with them...he is restarting from scratch - not 100% well, and no job or car to begin with.
with a few messages and calls, the dogs were all set to go with him...then another hitch.. the flight has been scratched, and deferred ones not available until October/November!! Paul has to leave his accommodation and return to UK in the next 2 weeks
He has now rearranged for the dogs to travel by courier, they are passported and ready o travel, but the courier cost is much higher than the flights he had arranged.

every penny, every cent, will make a difference, the more help he gets now, will make his arrival in UK easier to manage.
He has just been told that monies owed to him by Cyprus Government, will not be issued now until November, which puts him at a huge shortfall.
these are dreadful circumstances with unimaginable dilemmas and choices, please put yourself in his shoes, PLEASE HELP!
