KANTOU SHELTER
In our attempt to save 130 dogs we have reached
the successful target of now remaining only 65 with the help of enough
people, volunteers and organisations. Unfortunately, however, while
everything was going well we encountered a very serious and deadly
disease named distemper which concerns both within and outside the
shelter. The easy solution is putting the dogs to sleep after some
incidents that came to the surface and which are not 100% effective,
but I am not going to give up that easily. At the same time I am not
willing to risk the health of any dog or any other shelter. After my
personal decision in cooperation with the vet services and our vet, I
declare the shelter quarantined for one month. This time, however, you
will have to prove your love for these babies one more time. We
urgently need special uniforms, strong antibacterial and disinfectant
liquids/ cleaning stuff which are very expensive, various different
repetitive examinations as well as special vitamins to boost the dogs'
immune system. I strongly please everyone to help save the other half
of the dogs. Even the smallest donation counts!
