Sasha has left us. He was doing better, even with some movement in his hind legs. Bojan checked on him and the two cats were cuddling together. Half an hour later Bojan returned to find Sasha gone ... the saddest thing. Bojan is broken, we all are. But the vet bill remains and little Zoe still needs costs covered

A group of young rescuers in Modrica, Bosnia found two cats in serious need of help. The black and white cat, Zoe, is a sweet and cuddly young female, found with a broken front leg - broken in two places. The white cat, Sasha, is a male and he was found in the middle of the road unable to move.  He has a broken spine, pelvis and broken tail.  He was being cared for by a young ten year old girl.

Bojan Veselica from the Bark Ark took both cats to a good vet in Belgrade. Zoe was operated on and will be fine, and the vet did what he could for Sasha but said it's a waiting game now, to see if there is any improvement and if he will regain any movement below the spine. He's done his best to relieve pressure against the spinal cord from broken vertebrae. Sasha cannot urinate by himself. The vet said maybe stem cell treatment could help but this isn't available in Bosnia.  

Bojan found someone skilled in taking care of sick cats, and we are trying to raise funds for a month to cover pension costs, food and litter, as well as the cost of vet treatment for both cats. 

In Bosnia the young rescuers were quoted 350 euros to fix Zoe, but the vet in Belgrade only charged 300 euros for both cats. The young rescuers already raised 70 euros towards this.

Breakdown of costs:
Vet treatment: 230 euros
One month board and food and litter for Zoe: 75 euros
Total: 305 euros 
8% fee (PayPal, Fundrazr) 24 euros
TOTAL: 329 EUROS
