Hi Everyone,

Thank you for stopping by to read my story.

My name is Sadie and I'm a very ill 2 year old Rottie-Pit mix that loves to sunbathe and go for car rides. My mom loves me so very much and is looking for a little help with my vet bills that will be coming in very soon.

My mom took me to the vet at the beginning of September after noticing that I was loosing weight very fast and having regular diarrhea, I even started to mope around and not act like myself. I use to be just over 100 lbs, when I went to the Dr he said that i only weighed 75lbs.The vet gave me some antibiotics and they only help a little bit. Vet said that my Liver may have a major problem, it's not creating ALBUMIN, Thats the stuff that helps blood vessel walls stay solid and not leak.  I'm still struggling with getting back to my normal happy self, I'm not gaining any weight, I still have diarrhea, and now I'm having a hard time jumping up on the couch and getting comfortable in general. Everything seems to be harder to do. I'm still loving life though, I enjoy getting my daily treats, greeting mom every time she comes in the door even if its just after checking the mail. My energy is gone quickly though, I nap a lot. My brother and sister don't understand that I can't play as much anymore. I do still like my toys and don't want to share them.

Mom took me to a different vet in Alvarado, he was super nice but a little invasive, I don't like being restrained, I'm a bit claustrophobic. He checked a few things on me, pressed on my belly, brought in some weird machine that can see inside my abdomen and he saw a lot of fluid in there, then he took a syringe and poked me in the belly and extracted some of that fluid. I wasn't too happy about that. Thank goodness mom was there holding me, I was frightened. He told my mom that "Prognosis doesn't look good, and you should take her (that's me) to a specialist and have a few special tests done. This will be expensive and a hard journey, and I can't guarantee the outcome. First visit will be close to $1500, that doesn't include a follow up or any treatment." The Vet says the reason I'm still having diarrhea is because of all the fluid in my abdomen, and that until the fluid is gone I will still have diarrhea.

Now its time to go see another Dr. Specialist in Grapevine and get more pokes and prods, I don't want to go but mom says we need to. She keeps telling me to be strong, and I'm trying to be. Hopefully the Drs there will have some good news

My mom has a big heart and I'm a fighter, I know I can make it through this hard time but my mom needs a little extra financial help with the vet bills. She says she won't give up on me so long as I don't give up on myself.
