I am Melanie, and living in Zanzibar since 8 years. I have met Emma (Emmanuel Dokare) also 8 years ago and since day one he has worked as a gardener/ maintenance employer at our guesthouse. He is the most friendly and trustworthly man, that i have ever met. He is our right hand ever since.Three years ago his wife delivered their first child; Len Emmanuel. Unfortunately her mother, Emma's wife, passed away 6 months later.
Emma has been struggling to take good care of his daughter ever since. She stayed with his family on the mainland at first, but the money he sent was rather spent on food for the whole family then to take care of his daughter. He then decided to get her back to Zanzibar. He is working full time to be able to provide for housing and food. His dream is to get his daughter the best education possible. This is fairly costly thought.
We would like to help him to get his daughter to a good school. This means that for the next five year we like to garantee her schoolfees. My family and i contribute 25$ month, 1000$ over 5 years. The school, Paje school, will give a 50% discount on the monthly fee of 250$ being 125$ per month. Now we ask your help for the other 6000$ to cover the first 5 years. The school has a proper Western style system with a native English speaking teacher.
We will keep you updated on her progress and will be 100% transparent in the costs. We will place the receipts for the school, ask the teacher to give you an update on our education. If you are in Zanzibar you are most welcome to check up on the school.
