Dawn Odonnell hasn't added a story.
Once upon a time, in 4 different animal shelters, there were 4 unwanted dogs who were laying on concrete floors, cold, scared and unwanted. They were so glad when their new mom came and found them! She told them that they were going to a warm, loving home with plenty to eat and where they would never be cold again. This weekend, that promise was broken.
Over the past couple of years, I have had some financial difficulties. I have a job that I love, but even the best of jobs don't cover unexpected large expenses such as having to replace a furnace. And this weekend, in the middle of the coldest weather my town has seen so far this winter, my furnace died. I had it repaired last month and the technician told me that it would not continue to run and that it had to be replaced. I had hoped against hope that we could get through this winter. However, that was not to be. The furnace is located underneath the house and was my family home which I inherited when both of my parents passed on. Apparently when my mother replaced her old furnace with this one, it was installed with it laying on the ground. Over time, it has rusted due flooding and other drainage issues. The new one will be raised off of the ground.
I am always the one who takes care of others, and it is very embarrassing to be in a position of being the one asking for help now. But I have no other options. I am not eligible for a loan from a financial institution, and have not found a heating company who does in-house financing. I have 2 major health conditions which are made worse by cold temperatures. I need your help. I know that times are rough for us all, and if you are unable to help, I completely understand but maybe share if you can. I am asking for your good thoughts and prayers and any assistance is greatly appreciated.
