My cat Bailey and I desperately need help with his vet care.
Bailey is about 5 years old. I literally saved him with my bare
hands out of traffic off of Queens Boulevard a couple years ago, and
he's changed my life -- and me -- for the better ever since. He's
never been sick, aside from the fleas and other infections that needed
treating after I rescued him, this whole time. But this past weekend,
he became very ill and had to be rushed to the emergency vet. We're
still not 100% sure what's wrong, though it appears to be some kind of
blockage in the liver. So far, it's cost me over $1,000 that I did not
have to treat him. Odds are, I may need more money to treat this liver
issue in the next several days.
As most of you know, I have chronic health conditions and live
off of Social Security Disability. Emergency vets charge a huge amount
of money up front and demand immediate payment. I basically gave them
my whole Social Security check and then some the other day. Of course,
Bailey's worth it... but now I'm struggling. My next check doesn't
come in for weeks, and the rent's due soon. Not to mention that I need
to see my medical specialists, pay for meds, buy food... We usually
get by in my little household. Not so much right now.
I will do whatever it takes to give Bailey the best life
possible, especially after whatever hell it was that he knew when he
was living on the street. I love this little cat more than anything,
and his two feline brothers do, too. I really can't do it alone and am
humbly asking for whatever help you can give with covering the cost of
the emergency vet visit, the recent visit I had to my family vet, and
any upcoming vet visits or treatment. I'll gladly post pictures of vet
bills for you to see as fast as possible.
