Savannah's Atlanta Master's Commission Tuition
As of September 14th, I will be in Atlanta, Georgia, attending a Master’s Commission associated with the Dream Center church.
What is Master’s Commission?
Master’s Commission can basically be summed up by their motto, “To Know God and Make Him Known.” There are so many ways in which this is applied. Tuesday-Friday, classes are taken, which include Biblical classes as well as counseling and outreach classes. On Saturdays, students participate in Adopt-A-Block, a community outreach program that works directly with residents of downtown Atlanta and serves them in whatever they need. Other outreach projects also take place during the week. Students at the Atlanta Dream Center Master’s Commission (from now on referred to as ADCMC) work with the homeless in getting them off the streets, assisting in getting off drugs, and helping to find jobs. Last year, 23 ladies were rescued from the bondage of human trafficking and prostitution because of and outreach called Princess Night, which intends to express the worth that these women have to them and show them their true beauty. There are also Big Brother/Big Sister mentoring programs and tutoring to take part in. Those who take part in a Master’s Commission are recognized by the government as a missionary! How cool is that?
Why am I telling you all of this?
First of all, I just want to update you on what I am doing with my life and invite you all to be a part of it. Secondly, thoughts and prayers would be much appreciated during this time. I know that God is constantly doing great things, and I will be blessed to be a part of His work in Atlanta. You can be a part of it as well, if you will join me in prayer for the city and that God will use me to further His kingdom. Lastly, none of this would be possible without the required tuition, which is not eligible for government grants or any type of scholarships. This is another area that I would love if you could help me in! I am currently working to save up money, but all donations to assist in my ability to be in Atlanta serving the people and making God’s love known to them would be appreciated! Full tuition for the 2013-14 year is approximately $5,900. This includes 9 months-worth of classes, room and board, food, and travel within the United States! If 25 people pledge $25/month for 9 months, that would be nearly my entire tuition! If that amount is not feasible for you, however, that is perfectly fine. I am just asking if you would consider making any amount of donation, whether it be time in prayer, or monetary to help me make this happen!
How can you donate?
Good question! There are a few ways you can help me out. I will be creating a fundrazr on Facebook that allows you to pay through PayPal. Another way is to go to atldreamcenter.org, where you can learn more about where I will be and what I will be doing. Once you get to the website, click “donate.” That takes you to another way to pay through PayPal.
