Their lives depend on it.

We’ve never been in such a critical place. The truth is hard: if we can’t pay down our outstanding boarding and vet bills, we can’t keep these sweet souls safe. And they have nowhere else to go.

💔 We’re at risk of losing boarding spaces.
Facilities can’t keep dogs if we can’t pay—and they shouldn’t have to. Our partners have been incredibly patient and generous, but they’re at their limit. Without immediate help, dogs we’ve already saved from death row could be forced to return to overcrowded shelters—or worse.

🐾 These are dogs who were promised safety.
• Some were failed by fosters. Several ghosted by rescues.
•Sienna has no rescue lined up at all but had pledges to board her to keep her alive but almost none honored. .
• Several were saved and are waiting to travel north, but because rescues have no open fosters—and adoptions have slowed to a crawl—they’ve been stuck in limbo for weeks.

We had pledges made for many of them, which rescues depend on to commit. But most of those pledges never came through. Dogs like Melanie had nearly $1,000 in pledges—and only $200 honored. That shortfall falls on us, and we’re drowning trying to cover the costs.

💉 Most of these rural shelters provide no vetting—not even basic vaccines. Every dog we save needs medical care, boarding, transportation, and time. These aren’t optional—they are life-saving.

🐶 Rescues can’t continue without support. The cost to save just one dog is steep—but their lives are priceless. The ones who suffer when pledges fall through? Always the dogs.
