ASSOPFUMA is a small rural youth organization created by Daniel Magaia with the collaboration of other different young local friends, aiming to help children from an identified Primary School, from community called Mantimana located in Mozambique, in Maputo province district of Marracuene.

In the beginning the group was aiming to provide extra lessons in order to help local children on reading and writing. Nowadays, the group is going far, looking for funds to provide them education in a safe environment. Hence, ASSOPFUMA is directly working with the managers and other members of the school board of Mantimana Primary School in order to get help to children of this school.

The Young boy who wished to implement this project doesn't have resources and he is the only one who finished the High School and who attended the University and he got a scholarship provided by an Italian family and now is studying at Bergamo University in Italy, but is constantly in communication with the members of the school. As he studied in the same school and he sees the conditions in which he studied on that are worsened, his dream is to provide many orphan and poor children living in this community a safe environment for education that he did not have.

Nowadays, many children use dangerous latrines with holes which show being dangerous to them, walls of their latrines show visible cracks which means that in short time they will remain without latrines. Moreover, children study while are seating on the floor because they don't have desks.

Our immediate desire is to build up latrines that many children do not have and the only one that both genders are using, have walls that show dangerous cracks, but if we get enough funds, we would like to restore the classrooms built by the government 12 years ago and providing them desks because almost all children sit on the floor.

The government used local material, which are already destroyed, and even with the constant claims of the community they are not being attended.

We would like to start implementing our project in the beginning of August according to the available funds until this period; it will depends on the feedback that we get from people and organizations that we are informing about the project.

We work as a team, but there is a mentor, which is Daniel Magaia, who had a bad childhood, and he never wanted to see other children suffering. So, it means that achieving this objective will be meaningful not only for children who are going to get benefits of each kind of help from everywhere, but it will be an accomplished dream from the mentor of the project.

We also promise to be good managers in order to create benefits to the children since we designed the project for them, which means that anyone who will make part of this project by helping or supporting until we get enough funds will be informed about all following steps just to involve them in this collective work. Our wish is to dedicate our classrooms to those who will support the project.
