SUPPORT FOR EVANGELISM AND YOUTH EMPOWERMENT

Dear Sir /Madam.

My name is Martin N. Muiruri and I am the pastor at the Rhema explosion Christian church. The past three years have been great for all of us here at RECC. We have been doing evangelism in our locality, githurai, doing our best to reach the people with the gospel. Because we are preaching in a poor neighborhood, many people need to be empowered after they believe especially the youth and the windows. Unfortunately we don’t have the resources to do all that.

Because of the state of some families, children don’t continue with education after primary education, so they end up in drugs, alcohol and some turn to crime. Some after believing hope that we will pay their education, some hopes we will help them start a business, some hope we would give them a place to stay, feed and clothe them, when their hopes are not met some go back to their former life.

We have rented a room where we meet for fellowships which is always in arrears for months. The crusades require more than we can handle, for transporting instruments, repairs, replacement or upgrade. We are still using old and outdated PA. Again, balancing between work and ministry is a serious challenge for me. A lot need to be done in the ministry but I also need to take care of my family’s needs, rents, food, school fees and clothing. With your support I would really make a great difference, by touching many lives in my local area and beyond which is my vision.

We really need about $12,240 a year ($1,020 monthly) to comfortably run ministry;

Weekly crusades - $5,040 ($420 monthly)

                               -  Public address, transportations, repairs and pa upgrade 

                                  Church rent   

Empowerment     - $4,200 ($350 monthly)

                          -   Youth empowerment programs, widows support programs, feeding

                               programs and others that may arise.

Minister’s upkeep -$3,000 ($250 monthly)

                           -  Rent, food, school fees and many others.

We are a small congregation committed to the work of ministry and committed to giving toward all church projects but what we can raise is too little as compared to what we need since some are jobless and others doing local jobs that barely feed and house them. Our offering per Sunday is between $2 to $4 and we need $50 for rent monthly. We desperately need support to do the work of ministry effectively.
