I hope everyone is having a productive off season.

Hopefully by now you know me and Friday 5Ks are legit. During the previous 4 seasons, I have hosted 36 5K races, a half marathon, and a couple special events. I have applied my unique skill set to conducting these races at minimal cost, but unfortunately not zero cost.

This year I am hoping to get the funding out of the way in advance of the season so we can get down to the business of running, racing and generally having a good time.

Being part of the magic that is Friday5K

As always, there is no charge to participate in Friday5Ks and they are free to all members of the running community, but they will not exist without your patronage. Please consider donating $20. If half of you that participated last year would donate the requested $20 we would be more than fully funded for the entire season.

If you are going to pay for a 5K race in 2016 why not consider Friday 5K first? Feel the cause is not charitable enough? What could be more charitable than giving something that has value to those that can't afford it. People ask me all the time for what charity are you conducting these races? I contend that Friday5K is directly and efficiently supporting health, fighting depression and instilling self worth in all that participate.
