What is Revolution Virtual Playspace?
Revolution: Virtual Playspace is a game where people can make their own tabletop Role Playing Game (RPG) adventure to be played with their choice of Pen and Paper (PNP) rules. With the “Editor” they can make the map, monsters, quests, stores, conversations, NPCs and setup any special instructions for each placed object and miniature. In the “Player” the players can either play the classic PNP type of game where one person [ The Host ] can Control the game as the Game Master (GM) or the players can use a co-op playing style where everyone gets to be a player. [This is where Revolution: Virtual Playspace stands apart from any other virtual table top (VTT)].
Co-op play happens by the “Instruction Card” system, which allows the maker of the adventure to set instructions on the monsters, NPCs and objects in the game. The player move their own characters as if in a board game [According to the rule set they wish to use]. When they encounter a monster or NPC on the map they click on the object and it will display it's character sheet as well as a set of instructions of how it should act in game. This system also works for events in the world and in dungeons using this same system using a physical information node in game that the players click on for instructions or information to help progress play. The players friends control the monsters depending on the instructions on the monsters tactics card.
