This is Jackline's story, in her own words:

"I grew up in the biggest slums in Kenya. Although a lowly place, rent was still expensive for my mom. In 2007 we suffered the effects of the general elections and our house was burnt down, so we were relocated to a camp. One of my sisters almost died from pneumonia due to the poor conditions.

My mom took me to a public school because she believed in the power of education. While in Form 2 my dear wonderful mom passed on. My elder sister took me in and she tries her best to provide for me and my sister who is mentally handicapped.

My sister cannot afford to pay for my university fees. My mom's situation has motivated me. Although she was sick she never showed she was weak and always worked hard. I will not disappoint. It's a promise and an assurance. "

100% of the money raised will go directly towards paying for Jackline's university fees and living costs. Please donate and share this campaign with your friends so we can change Jackline's life!
