About The New York Urban League Young Professionals
Founded in 1919, the mission of the New York Urban League (NYUL) is to enable African Americans and other underserved ethnic communities to secure a first class education, economic self-reliance and equal respect of their civil rights through programs, services and advocacy. The New York Urban League Young Professionals (NYULYP) was founded in 2003 and is a volunteer auxiliary entity of the NYUL. The NYULYP is a collection young professionals, ages 21-40, that believe in improving the lives of others within the five boroughs of New York City. This diverse collection of professionals, provides a unique networking opportunity for individuals to associate with like-minded individuals interested in personal and professional development, community service, civil rights, access to employment opportunities, financial literacy workshops, education, equal employment, and fair housing.
